We provide standard solutions and samples for job development. These samples can be used freely, in so far as no conflicting usage rights are specified in the corresponding job description. All samples include job documentation and source code. A good start for information on using these samples would be the Job Implementation Tutorial.

    These jobs are part of the Job Scheduler installation and supported by SOS GmbH. They execute routine tasks for housekeeping, sanity checking and mail forwarding.

    These jobs are part of the Job Scheduler installation and supported by SOS GmbH. They execute routine tasks for database maintenance such as table and index optimization, monitoring replication masters and slaves and for running database jobs.

  • Web Services for Jobs
    These samples show how to configure Web Service interfaces for batch jobs. Whilst any job can be exposed as an asynchronous Web Service, these samples provide solutions and detailed instructions for synchronous processing.

    This package includes configurations and implementations for jobs which launch executable files using Web Services that can be used out of the box.

  • Job Samples
    These jobs are samples of implementations in different languages as Java, JavaScript, Perl and VBScript. They include samples showing how to start a job triggered by changes in a directory and how to use the methods of the Job Scheduler API.

Solution Stacks:
Stacks are implementations of the Job Scheduler with third party components. They might include code that is not compatible with the Job Scheduler's open source license.

  • Network Monitors
    This solution stack is used to check the results from the execution of jobs and to report the relevant status messages to a Network Monitor.

    This stack includes jobs for the detection of errors and warnings in log files and for message passing. It can be used out of the box. Currently supported Monitors are Nagios (http://www.nagios.org) and Hobbit (http://hobbitmon.sourceforge.net).

  • Secure Shell with Trilead
    Trilead (http://www.trilead.com) is an Open Source SSH stack provided by Christian Plattner. It is used to create connections to server systems using SSH, SCP or SFTP. Trilead implements a local SSH stack and therefore no separate SSH client is required. This software stack provides jobs which use SSH with the Job Scheduler.
